After one has served around twelve years as an agent, their pay may jump up to eighty seven thousand dollars each year. You will need to have two to three years of work experiences. Many of the agents get law degrees because this is going to help make their job easier on them.

Some important fundamentals include getting a degree in computer science, engineering or subjects that are related to law. The military may also be helpful for one as would learning a foreign language such as Urdu, Pashtu, Arabic, Farsi, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese or Spanish. If you are looking to develop a good salary, then you will need to have skills that are different from everyone else.

You will need to complete both an oral and written examination that may be done at the time of the interview appointment. You will also need to go through a psychological assessment, medical and physical exams and a background check. After you have been selected to work as an agent, you will be put in training for seventeen weeks. The training will take place at the United States Marine Corps Base, which is located in Quantico, Virginia.

The FBI salary that you will be bringing in is worth it. As an agent, never again will you be complaining about a boring routine as the jobs are everything but boring. There is nothing routine about these jobs. Every day will bring up different risks and challenges.
